 It was a dark day with heavy rain, even so my brother and I went to school as usual, yet I felt a very strange feeling that day. I don't know what to say about it, but it was an uneasy feeling. I entered the school and could not believe the message that I later received. It was a sad message. A message brought a sense of mourning. A message from my mother who was in the hospital at that time regarding the death of my grandfather. It was like a nightmare.  When I went home after school, I saw my mother crying. Later we went to my grandfather's village house, there were neighbors near the house. They helped a lot in the funeral home.  Grandfather's dead body was brought home, and we all cried. I cried too. My grandfather was dressed in his old police uniform as to pay respects to the time he had served under law enforcement. His body was given the police salute. It was the first and last time I saw him in his police uniform. It was a sad moment, a moment I can never forget...

Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Everyone likes to talk  and show their strengths, but I would like to share my weaknesses.🙂 I am a hot tempered person, but sometimes I'm sensitive. Once, when my pet Kiri  died. I cried a lot, thus leading me to believe that I'm a sensitive person. I'm also an over ambitions person and an extravagant person. My biggest weakness is I easily believe others. I do believe specially those who put me into troubles.😕 I sometimes overthink things, causing delays in the decisions I have to make. In order to combat the weaknesses I have, I  like to practice meditating  , dancing, playing games, playing violin and listen to songs I like, which helps me to overcome my weaknesses. I am always working towards a better me, a version of me that has less of these weaknesses.

Love is very important part of our lives. Love is different and can show that people care about us. Althought we can love everything, my love is my family.  Family plays a crucial role in everyone's life. Family is always a number one  priority in my life and I always think of ways to give back to them in non-material ways.  I have a small family a family of four members including my mother, father, brother and myself. So I have a  nuclear family. My father is a driver and my mother is a housewife. My brother is still in school .  My family always help me, they are very loving, kind and caring. My parents cared about me so much, if the food were running low, they would sacrifice eating to feed us. I believe this is the love of family. family love .My family has taught me a lot of things, like how to work together, how to spend your time happily etc. We share all our problems and take suggestions from one another. On 16 th January 2020 my school had organized a God Saraswathi puja. It was a very big festival in our school. The day before we had decorated our Saraswathi mandapa, practiced  some bajans then made some sweets such as Aggala Boondi, Gulab jamun, Pani walalu etc.  Finally a long awaited day had come. It was our pooja day. I left home early in the morning, while on my way I suddenly fell down. I was injured a lot, my face ,leg and hand were all wounded. Another student came by and she helped to stand up Then She admitted me to the hospital.  After a few  hours my friends also came to hospital to visit me. I was given an injections and they applied some medicine to my wounds. After that I was finally able to come back home. Unfortunately I couldn't participate in our school Saraswathi puja. It was an unforgettable day in my life.😞

 My favourite novel is Sada Se Sisil Adaree written by Ajantha Wijesena. It encompasses a sad story. The two main characters are Kawumadi and Nisala. Kawumadi is a 21 years old girl. She is so kind, honest, pretty and lovely. She has short hair and she always wears frocks.  Nisala is a good boy and  he is 22 years old. He is handsome, lovely and trustworthy person. He is clever at Econ.  There are two family in this novel,they are Nisala's family and Kawumadi's family. They had a five years love affair. Kawumadi's family is rich whiles Nisala's family is poor. Nevertheless their love was pure. First time they met was at a debet competition. Both of them had studied well and entered campus. Although they had a beautiful love story they didn't skip their education. Kawumadi's parent didn't like Nisala. So Kawumadi's father tried to separate the couple but he failed.  My family members had organized a trip to Katharagama. 😊It was a memorable three day trip. We went by Van. We made some sweets and spicy food at home to bring with us. Nevertheless, we bought some snacks on our way to Katharagama too. On the day in the morning we worshipped Lord Buddha and started our journey. During the trip we sang songs and clapped. We had a chat with our family members.  After having our breakfast we went to Sankapala temple. It is a historical secret place. Afterwards we came to Katharagama around 1p.m. and stayed  at Sadarasa hotel. We saw peacocks, monkeys and elephants. We visited Kiri wehera and Katharagama devalaya.  That day the Devala premises was heavily crowded.😣 All of a sudden we noticed my brother has gone missing. When we looked around we found donation desk. After we talked to them, they made and annoucement asking my brother to come to that place. I am an undergraduate in the University of the Visual and Performing Arts . 👧🎓 It is situated in the Colombo district. On my first day in the University, I did my morning routine. That day I was a bit nervous because It was a new experience for me. When I entered the University I saw the logo of our University. Then I captured some random photos in front of the University.📸  Upon entering the University, I saw so many buildings.🏢 I entered one of the buildings comprising of six storeys where our music faculty was located. The faculty has six departments. They are Western,🎷 North Indian,🎻 South Indian,🎻 Musicology,🎵 Ethnomusicology departments and Applied music department.🎹🎤 Our vice chancellor and our lecturers gave us a warm welcome. They had organized a big orientation programe for the new students. Our dean is Mr.Saman Panapitiya who introduced the departments to us.  I am Pasindi.👧 Currently I am an undergraduate at the University of the Visual & Performing Arts. It was a rare opportunity to admire our seniors performances.🎶🎵🎷 '' THE REVOLUTION ''🎶🎵🎷 which turned a new page in the history of their performance.  This musical show 🎼'' The Revolution ''🎼 displayed the talents of  our seniors who conducted the show. The objective of this show was to improved our musical knowledge and talents. 👍😊 It was held on 12th January 2023 at the Lionel Edirisinghe auditorium. It was started at 3 o' clock. ⌚ Seniors displayed their ability on the stage where there fascinating costumes added color to the show.🎤 University students came en mass to the show. There was a big applause from the audience.👏👏👏 we turned our phone flashes on and we danced.💃💃💃💃 we enjoyed a lot.  finally we didn't forget to give them our feedback.😊 It was memorable brilliant musical show I had ever seen.😍😍     

  F inally a long awaited day has come.😊 It was my 21st birthday. I received so many wishes. My University colleagues also wished me. They sent a beautiful digital birthday card. It was really nice.👍   That day my family was bit busy. They done lots of work for me. My parents had organized a birthday party. They decorated our house.🎈🎈🎈🎉🎉 They invited my friends. The biggest surprise was birthday cake.🎂 My uncle and aunty had sent it in. I would like to say about my cake. It was of pink color and decorated with a lot of icing roses. It was really nice and yummy.😋😋😋 I cut my cake happily.😁   I received so many gifts. They were frocks, shoes, perfumes, teddy bears ,earrings, watch etc... We took so many photos. We sang song & danced. I spent my time with my friends. It was a jubilant moment and memorable day in my life.😍💓
